Takemichi encounters the gang's boss Manjiro Sano, commonly known as Mikey, and his assistant Ken Ryuguji, also known as Draken, as he gets more and more involved with the group. The two founded the gang as teenagers to defend their neighborhood from other gangs. They had been childhood buddies. But as the group gains strength, it escalates its violence and brutality.

Takemichi's main objective is to save Hinata from dying, but he soon learns that it's harder than he expected to change the past. He must negotiate the intricate web of gang politics and interpersonal interactions while attempting to avert a disastrous tragedy. Takemichi encounters numerous difficulties and difficulties throughout the story, such as betrayals, violence, and loss. He perseveres, though, and discovers how to build both emotional and physical strength. Additionally, he develops close relationships with the members of the Tokyo Manji Gang, particularly Mikey and Draken, who wind up being his best friends and allies.
